Practical Information for Conference Participants

Useful information about accessing the University campus during the conference as well as other information regarding the availability of Wireless Internet Access and other conference services have been compiled by the Local Arrangement Chair.

General Information

All meeting rooms allocated the EISIC conference (including room 0-100) will be locked during lunch time, so that you can leave your personal belongings there without worrying about their safety.

Access to Wireless Internet

Go to http://guestaccount.sdu.dk and follow these steps

• Choose the EISIC 2012 event.
• Put all required information in the fields and then press OK. If the field labels are not already in English, you can change it in the upper right corner of the form.
• Afterwards you will receive an e-mail with a link that allows you to validate your e-mail address.
• The Local Arrangement Chair will process your request, after which you will receive an email with your username and password. This means that you may not receive your username and password right after you have submitted your request. Therefore, we recommend that you send your request (some days) before arriving at the conference.

Companions at Social Event

Please be advised that your conference registration fee only covers your own participation in the social event. If you intend to bring your spouse or any other companion, you will be asked to buy a separate ticket, which is available at the conference desk. The price is TBA per person and the amount can be paid in cash (only the exact amount in DKK is acceptable) or through an ATM next to the conference desk (see conference program map) that accepts international credit cards.

Local Transportation

There are frequent bus connections between the city of Odense and the university (lines 40-41) during daytime. Time tables (including other bus connections) are available at the following link: http://www.fynbus.dk/dwn4639.
NB! Campus has two bus stops, and at the stop nearest to the main entrance you will hear the bus speaker say "svømmehal" which is the Danish word for a large swimming pool!

Parking Information

If you plan to arrive by private car, you should be aware of the strict campus parking regulations. You are advised to use parking area P1 and entrance H or P6 and entrance R (turning left on the main hallway).
